The Qb doent have to call the snap, there is silent snap counts in football too. And it is legal for the center to snap the ball sideways too, just not widely recommended. So ya this is a legal play. My old high school coach use to drill us on not getting caught by this
cheatin azz play this is legal…some team ran this against us but instead of a 1reciever tight for mation the were spread out 3 recievers nd i was playin cb nd the qb walked all the way to the sideline nd fckin took off i was shocked [ had to horse collar that ***** lolz]
ok kakashiforlife..i know this ones a little late but here we go..if you knew anything about football you would know that saying anything to the defense verbally is against the rules in football period…this is proof from a recent comment…

per NFHS rule 10 you can not use verbiage that confuses the defense into thinking the snap is not imminent. The verbiage “Coach, worng ball” and the coach tossing the ball in the air is most certainly breaking that rule this play is ILLEGAL.

8That is not a legal play.. The quarter back never called the snap. The center called “Coach, Wrong ball.” Not the quarter back..

16Yeah, I’d be pissed if i was on defense – but you know who should be REALLY pissed? the parents of the kids on the scoring team.
Not exactly the kind of lessons I want a teacher passing on to my kid…
besides – this is CLEARLY not a legal play – i don’t care what the moron announcer (or refs for that matter) said.

21This is pop-warner peewee football.
I doubt the volunteer refs take the time to look up some b.s rule about ‘verbiage’ in the middle of a game.
